馃挌Diversity Inequality and Post-structural politics馃挌

Reflection about the topic: At the beginning, due to the title I was thinking the presentation would be so difficult, but as my classmates explained I realized that the topic was easy to understand and really important in our actual society. The presentation was related to the different stereotypes that exist nowadays and perform people because of their race, genre, sexuality, etc. What I like the most about the topic was how easy I could recognize the problem of applying those stereotypes to people around us, how dangerous and warm could use them to define or categorize a group of people who have suffered all their lives due to the invisibilization and discrimination on many spaces and how those stereotypes make worse the situation for them. The presentation arose on me the necessity to questioned ourselves every day, we have to think about our words and how they can be harmful to build our society.

Personal Reflection what you can do as a teacher: The most important input I could give to students is to let them understand that all of us deserve respect, we can't build our opinions based on stereotypes that separate us more, I want to give my students the freedom to accept learn from the others and their differences, because along with their lives they are going to meet many different people, with different race, age, sexual orientation, etc., and they have to understand that everyone can teach them important things about life that can influence them in very positive ways, for me it's an objective that my students in the future must learn how to treat others, accept differences and similarities and create a warm environment to everyone to continue building a diverse society based on peace, love, and respect.
